About Urban Rags

I want to give you a little bit of background on how Urban Rags began. About 4 years ago I made some clothing pieces out of some vintage clothing. At the time I made these pieces for my sister and myself, they were a lot of fun to make and it allowed me to be as creative as I could be. I never thought for one minute that I would sell the pieces I made.

But as fate would have it, Never say Never. Whenever I wore my pieces, people would ask where I bought them. When I said I made them, they were surprised.  That got me thinking that maybe I could sell a few pieces --- and so Urban Rags was born.

I thought about where I would sell.  Knowing that retail is a bit iffy, I decided who better to sell them than me? I have an online store on my website and I do in-home party demonstrations. I have added some other things such as scarves, bags, jewellery and some gift items that compliment my range.  I also give small, personal workshops on how you can do what I do. My website has details on all these options.

I have to tell you, I am having fun. It allows my creativity to have no bounds. I am excited to be able to work at something I really love and make some dollars. I read a book once that was about doing what you love and the money will follow. Let's see how that works... I will let you know.
